Meet Crina Popa

From an early age, I was always moved by the stories of those around me, and I realized that I had the ability to help others by being empathic and a very good listener. Thus, I followed my passion and pursued an education in a field where I can make a difference in one’s life through counselling.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I completed my Masters in Counselling Psychology and my Bachelor in French and Criminology.

Along with my education, I have a wealth of lived experiences. I am a mother of a young adult and a teenager. I am also an emigrant, and thus, I have a deep understanding of the profound impact anxiety and depression can have on your life.

I am genuine and empathic, with unconditional positive regard for all individuals, regardless of their cultural background, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status.

I have over 13 years of experience working in the social service field with individuals and families.

To The Person Who Went Through

Immigration

I walked in those shoes, and I experienced what it is like to be all alone amongst a sea of people, in a new country where you will have to rediscover your identity.

Divorce

I walked in those shoes, and I can tell you that no matter how painful the journey is now, healing will come with time and proper support.

Infertility

I walked in those shoes, where you do not want to hear another “I am so sorry. Anything I can do to help?” I also know what is like to not want to answer more phone calls; just to be left alone with your pain and cry until you have no tears left.

Single Mother

I walked in those shoes and know how it feels to be amid a tsunami wave, not knowing when it will recede. However, no matter how big the wave is, it WILL recede, and then you can concentrate on rebuilding a NEW life.

Miscarriage

I walked in those shoes, and I know what it means to feel that although friends and family are trying to be empathic and help, they cannot, because THEY DON’T KNOW what you are going through.

Anxiety In Teenagers

I walked in those shoes. I know what it is like to be lost in guiding the humans you are responsible for. I also know that with the proper guidance, there is light at the end of the tunnel!

When there is NOTHING left, there is still… HOPE!
